A few things to help everyone feel at home.

Fernwood Lodge is a peaceful, stand-alone retreat designed for rest and relaxation. To help preserve the space and ensure a great experience for everyone, we ask that guests observe the following:

  • The home is intended for registered overnight guests only and is not suitable for large gatherings or additional overnight visitors.
  • Maximum of eight overnight guests.
  • No smoking or vaping anywhere inside the lodge.
  • No pets.
  • Use of the outdoor fire pit is welcomed. Please never leave it unattended, check local burn bans before use, and fully extinguish fires after each use.
  • To help protect the home, furniture should not be rearranged and outdoor furniture should remain outdoors.
  • Please be mindful of the soft pine floors, which can be easily damaged.
  • Candles are not permitted inside or outside the lodge.
  • The home is on a septic system. Toilets are for toilet paper only. Please do not flush wipes or dispose of grease or oils down drains.
  • Check-in 4:00 PM. Check-out 11:00 AM.
  • Minimum stay: 1 night on weekdays, 2 nights on weekends, 3 nights on most holidays.

Good to know

Life in the woods

  • Cell service is limited in the woods. Wi-Fi is available throughout the cabin.
  • The ground is natural and uneven in places, and wildlife is part of the neighborhood.
  • There is ample parking at the main lodge. In winter weather or poor conditions, four-wheel drive is recommended. If needed, guests may also park in a flat area near the barn and walk to the cabin.
